The most prized of all salmon species Fresh King Salmon from the Pacific Northwest are often marketed by the river system from which they come. King Salmon is the largest wild salmon and is nearly always red in color never pink. King Salmon have a pronounced buttery rich taste and their oily meat has a softer texture than other wild salmon species making it one of our favorite fish at The Fresh Market.
